Where We Stand
As a congregation, we strive to stand upon the truths set forth in God’s Word, the Holy Bible. Our doctrinal stance is set forth in the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. Some of our convictions contained in this Confession include:
– There is one God, eternally existing in three Persons, who Created all things out of nothing and uphold all things by His perfect will.
– Man is thoroughly and in need of salvation through a personal redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ.
– Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ’s perfect and complete work on the cross, where He atoned for man’s sins.
– Christ is Lord over all of the Christian’s life, so that the duty of each Christian is to live for God’s glory, submitting to His will as it is revealed in the Scriptures.
– The blessed hope of every Christian is the personal, visible, and bodily return of Jesus Christ. This expectation of His Second Advent will have a purifying effect upon our life.
